There are multiple ways to request help (submitting a ‘ticket’): Some issues can be resolved via email, some issues are handled by remote access to your computer. Many of your computer problems can be addressed by the CAHNRS IT support team. CSD is designed to provide “quick response” to customer support requests and provides a self-service portal to a library of topics. They merged CougTech and Enterprise Systems.
WSU has rolled out a new IT help Center called the Crimson Service Desk. If you have a problem, contact the front office to schedule an appointment by Tuesday. We have a contract with LocalTel to drop by on Wednesday’s IF there are any pending problems. Issues are handled by LocalTel (by appointment) or CAHNRS IT.
IT Contact: We currently don’t have a full time “Help Desk” person. You would also contact them for any changes/corrections to your phone line settings. Phone Problems: If it’s a broken phone, contact Jerry Moreland, x8784 or cell: 670-3557 If it’s not functioning correctly, you need to contact CAHNRS IT (see CAHNRS IT Help below). Contact with questions.Contact for assistance.
Download the Safety Training Record Template for help in tracking your employee’s agricultural safety training. Recordkeeping for these trainings is tracked by the supervisor.
Each time an employee begins a new duty or works with a new piece of equipment, a supervisor trains them on safe and proper use. ĮMPLOYEE SAFETY TRAINING – Safety Training is not a “one and done” activity. It includes information on the supervisor’s responsibilities, role in performing inspections, and reporting and investigating accidents. SUPERVISOR AS SAFETY MANAGER – All supervisors should take this instructor-led training offered by WSU Environmental Health and Safety. Use the Safety Inspection Checklist to help. High-hazard areas, i.e., workshops and laboratories, should be inspected more frequently. SELF-INSPECTION – Safety inspections are to be conducted at least annually to identify potentially hazardous working conditions and help with planning employee safety training. Here is how your team can strive to be safe EVERYWHERE, EVERY DAY. It takes a bit of effort and planning to ensure we work safely. Because we are a diverse college with employees working in labs, classrooms, farms, fields and offices, a one-size-fits-all safety approach will not work.
We seek to weave safety into our daily activities deliberately by using the WSU Safety Policy and Procedure Manual as a guide. Working safely so that all of CAHNRS goes home at the end of the day as whole and as healthy as when they arrived is our goal.
